Diverse families
Every family is unique. Approximately one third of families in Finland differ from the traditional core family concept. Many families vary in many different ways.
Different kinds of families can meet a child’s needs and wishes, the main thing is for the child to be loved and cared for. All families should have an extensive support network. In addition to the close circle of friends and family members, city family services and several organisations for families with children also provide support for everyday life. Families with Many Faces (Monimuotoiset perheet) network is available for diverse families.
Below is a list of member organisations of Families with Many Faces network and other organisations for diverse families.
